Look What We Are Learning This Week!

Week of December 17

Thanks to all who came to our fun Christmas events last week!  The children had so much fun!!  We can't wait for the fun events we have prepared for this week!

Our letter of the week is: reviewing letters A-K.  We will practice writing and identifying the letter, as well as the sound it makes and things that start with that letter.

ELA:  We will continue our Animals unit.

Math:  We will continue learning our numbers!  This week, we will review numbers 1-8.

Religion:  We will continue learning about Advent and the story of Christmas and the birth of baby Jesus.  We will continue our Saints of the Month for December.  We will continue practicing for our Nativity Pageant this Wednesday!

Science: We will talk about the Winter season.

Every day we will continue to practice our names and tracing/writing letters and numbers.  We will also practice our coloring, cutting and pasting skills.  Continue to reinforce these skills at home!

As part of our STEM curriculum, we encourage the children to create various structures using hands on materials during centers and playtime.  Examples include: building a new house for the 3 little pigs that the wolf cannot blow down,  building a tall tower that is stable and won't fall down, etc.
