RE-REGISTRATION FORMS FOR 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR

Due back by February 10th

I-READY

SPS is using the i-Ready Diagnostic adaptive assessment program to identify the academic strengths and weaknesses and opportunities for growth of each student. Individual i-Ready reports were sent home in November. 7th and 8th graders will be working on i-Ready during Study Skills periods. Please see the i-Ready Parent information slideshow attached below for more information. The PDF version of the parent slide show is also posted on Google Classroom.

COVID- 19

• As per NYS guidelines, parents will be required to complete a short Covid Screening survey for their child each Monday. This survey will be completed on a new App called PickUp Patrol. This App will also be used for parents to alert the school of any change to their child’s dismissal. 

Student Absences

• It is necessary for any child who stays home from school or is sent home from school with any of the symptoms consistent with a COVID-19 infection to remain home until there is a clearance note signed by a doctor.  Please see the "Medical Clearance Information" posted on the SPS homepage for more information. Thank you!

Grading/Report Cards

• PowerSchool can be accessed through the following link:  https://drvcpowerschool.org/public/
• Parents are encouraged to check PowerSchool on a consistent basis to monitor student progress.

School Lunch Program

•  Will be used for Ordering Lunch this year. Check "Useful Links" below to sign up for Boonli.  

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

• Buses will drop off students in grades 7 & 8 at Msgr. Purick Hall (MPH)  Teachers will conduct temperature checks each morning.  
• 7th/8th Grade Parents who are dropping off or picking up students are asked to please use the circular driveway behind the parish rectory on Clinton Avenue. Please pull into the driveway in a single line. Teachers will be there to direct you. Please do not get out of your car.
• If you are picking up your child at dismissal or picking your child up early, please send in a 'walker' note to be given to the homeroom teacher. Please be sure to indicate who will be picking up your child. 
• Please do not email your child’s teacher with changes in dismissal.
• We ask that all students (including remote learners) use the new Pick Up Patrol PUP App  to manage changes in dismissal. 

REMOTE LEARNING

• Remote Learners should log into Google Classroom each morning using their SPS account and join their Remote Learning Google Meet using the link provided by their HOMEROOM teachers by 8:20AM. Homeroom teachers will be taking attendance. Students will remain in this Meet with their homeroom as teachers rotate from class to class.
• Remote students must be dressed in uniform and seated at a desk or table with camera on​​. Please refer to the remote learning directions that were provided by the administration for other important guidelines. Please be patient as we begin this process.

Hi everyone! My name is Erin Murphy and I am so excited to be your new ELA teacher! I grew up going to St. John Nepomucene church in Bohemia where I was very involved as an altar server. I also taught religious education classes throughout high school and was a member and Youth Leader of the middle school and high school youth groups. Because my Catholic faith had always been important to me, I decided to go to Siena College, a Franciscan school, where I studied English Education and Spanish. From Siena, I have continued my education in pursuing a Master of Science degree in Special Education at Molloy College. Outside of school and work, I love to travel, read, bake, and spend time with my family and friends. I’m looking forward to getting to know everyone here at St. Patrick School!
